It's About Me (version 4.0)

Let's make it short : I am French, with the soul somewhere in San Francisco and the heart nearby Biarritz Pau, the feet on the beautiful ground of Champagne and the head in the never-ending roller coaster of High-Tech.

I am 46 47 as of today 09.28 (2007) 01-31-08, working since 25 years now. I have the joy to be enjoy being a Fiber Optics pioneer, and the I'm honored to be a Telecoms veteran. I'm also also have the proudness proud to be a self-made-man, who got his B.S. at the age of 21 and was responsible for the biggest new product launch in HP Test & Measurement' history at the age of 41.

I am a marketing & business development specialist, with 25 years of experience in the telecommunications, test & measurement, and fiber optics industries. Advising both start-up companies as well as established corporations, my international activities span business development and product marketing in North America, Europe, Middle East and Africa as well as new products introduction on global markets.

From Fiber-To-The-Home to InternetTV to Powerline Communications to the Web 2.0, I can't stop helping people to develop new ideas and businesses...

Prior to this consulting career, I worked at the French Railroad Company where I became an Optical Fiber Communications pioneer before founding my own consulting & training firm in the early 90's.
In 1998, I joined HP/Agilent Technologies for six years where I started as Pre&Post-Sales engineer, Systems consultant, and expert with the HP Consulting group, then lead the Agilent' s Optical Network Test business in the EMEA region, before moving to a Product Marketing role in the same division as New Products Introduction manager worldwide.
I next joined the Denmark-based firm NetTest, where I built the Middle-East sales channels. I later served as Product Line Manager at the french start-up LEA.

I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from ENREA Ecole Nationale de Radio-Electricite Appliquee, Paris.

My centers of interest today : Global Warming, Sustainable Development, and Fiber-To-The-Home (which are kind of linked together...). My current project (and only personal objective in the business) : Testing 2.0. My way of doing business : make people happy, and have fun together. Life is too short, Folks ;-)
