" You were not the top candidate as it was, and the presentation was your best chance to get the job. You have to decide whether you want to have a great job with a great company that will support you and help you grow and fund your ideas into businesses, or be on your lonesome. "
That's an excerpt of a short message I've received yesterday from a recruiting manager at a large US-based Test & Measurement firm - not Agilent Technologies, thanks God - after I informed him that I won't present the market survey he asked me to do for the final interview, scheduled this morning (fact : I don't need this job, which has been brought to my attention a month ago by the headhunter working for this company, and I'm currently pursuing other opportunities - beside Testing 2.0 ).
This very professional guy should have read the recent survey published by Business Week last August : 90% of managers think they’re among the top 10% of performers in their workplace. I'm glad I'm no more a manager ;-)
